Good Evening CC! Today was the 4th day of our advent study. It was on Christmas ornaments. So the tradition of ornaments started back in the 16th century Germany. When Churches would hold winter plays on Biblical events. Well during winter fruit was hard to come by so it was common to put apples on a pine tree. This kicked off the tradition of hanging round objects from a tree. Over time berries, nuts, and many other things were added. It wasn’t until the late 1800 when hand blow and painted glass ornaments became popular. Thought of the day: Do you have any ornaments that are significant to your faith? Any that are a family tradition?
