Morning CC! Today is day 2 of our Advent study. And it’s on the Christmas tree! So as legend has it Saint Boniface came across a group of people who turned an oak tree into an altar. Disgusted with this, he chopped down the tree. From the stump grew an evergreen. Saint Boniface used this as an example of Jesus’ victory over death and the eternal life we have through Him.
As Christian’s we die of ourselves to become a new in Christ. (Ephesians 4:20-24) So you could think of our spiritual walk after we have committed to Jesus as a Christmas tree. An Evergreen is green year around its continuous growth can represent us as Christian’s. Constantly growing and learning.
So my question for today is in what ways does the Christmas tree remind you of Jesus or our journey with him?
